Guidelines Hospital Affiliations Contact and Directions	At Thomas Retinal Eye Specialists, each doctor in our group is board certified in ophthalmology and has completed formal subspecialty training in medical and surgical diseases of the retina, vitreous and macula. Each member is nationally recognized for their participation in research and educational programs primarily aimed at understanding the causes of retinal diseases and developing novel treatments. For each of our esteemed Doctors, a brief biographical sketch is provided, as is a link for their abbreviated Curriculum Vitae. Garry J. Thomas B.A., B.S., O.D., M.D., F.A.A.O. Garry Thomas MD received his BA in Biology at West Virginia University. Dr. Thomas graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and also West Virginia University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Drexel University in Philadelphia where he was Chief Ophthalmology resident. Dr. Thomas completed his specialty Fellowship in Retina-Vitreous at the prestigious Schepens Eye Research Insititute at the Harvard University in Boston, MA. Dr. Thomas is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
